Dog-lovers fly 27 puppies in a small plane to save them from being euthanized

A group of dog lovers are being hailed as heroes, after a – now viral – footage, shows them aboard a small plane alongside 27 puppies. The adorable dogs were supposed to be put down, but the three women stepped up and saved them all in the sweetest rescue mission, we have seen in a while!

The video, initially emerged on TikTok, was recorded and shared online by Cassandra Bergeron, the woman responsible with the rescue. Recorded a couple of weeks ago, the footage shows scenes from the rescue flight that lasted about 45 minutes, from Alabama to Florida.

“Guess how many puppies we rescued?” the video caption reads. Then, bunches of happy puppies can be seen wagging tails and cuddling with the heroes that saved them. The heartwarming footage gained over 13,5 million views on TikTok alone.

“I was in pure bliss. I didn’t want to land,” Cassandra explained for DailyPaws. “I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time.”

The life-saving rescue was possible, after Cassandra got a call from a friend, telling her to rescued these puppies. They were about to be put down, due to the shelter overcrowding. Cassandra and two of her friends rushed to save the innocent lives, so they reached Michael Young, pilot and professor at University of Central Florida. The right person to be called, because he rescued over 7,000 shelter dogs as a volunteer at the Alabama Puppy Rescue Flights.

After they all joined forces, 27 sweet puppies have been rescued from shelter in Enterprise, and taken by place, to several shelters in Orlando. Each and every puppy has been adopted since the rescue! During the rescue, Cassandra recorded several videos, each one more lovely than the other!

Thank you ladies. This is what real-life heroes do!
